Does the schedule or agenda leave enough time for networking or just plain socializing? Of course, people attend a conference for its educational benefits, but they look at it as an opportunity to re-connect with old friends and colleagues, meet new folks and possibly find a good connection for their business.

Do the breakout rooms and the setup allow both presenter and attendees to communicate easily to share ideas? Having the right environment subtly helps folks to communicate easily without being self-conscious. Take down those barriers!

Have you specified the right technology? Is it easy to use, accessible and ready for attendees to use? Think about internet kiosks so attendees can check email and make a dinner reservation. Think about charging stations for cell phones and tablets. Think about apps that enable polling. Be sure that they are available for both Android and iOS.
